Stretching is a very important part of your over-all conditioning. There are several steps you should take in preparing for workouts or competition.
You must start by warming up. While many think that warming up means running around, jumping rope or otherwise getting sweaty, this is not necessary. Why would you want to use up so much energy doing this type of warmup? Instead, you want to warm up your joints. There is fluid in each joint’s cartilage.
